GPS III Launch Services RFP Released by Air Force

Canada to Supply MEOSAR Search and Rescue Repeaters to GPS III

The Canadian government will begin providing search-and-rescue repeaters for the U.S. Air Force’s GPS III satellites, reports Space News. The repeaters provided by Canada’s Medium Earth Orbit Search and Rescue (MEOSAR) satellite project will significantly reduce the time it takes to locate a distress signal. SpaceX Falcon 9 Certified for GPS Launches

The U.S. Air Force has certified SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket to launch military satellites, clearing the way for SpaceX to bid on launches of GPS III satellites.
